Boundary Map showing the dates of the existing hedgerows around the reserve.
This map brings together the details from Fuller's map (1656), the Tithe map (1838) and the Auctioneer's Map (1914).
It is possible to mark onto the map the boundaries that are shown in each of the map. Therefore :-
The existing boundary hedges on the reserve are marked in blue.
Green shows those boundaries unchanged from 1656.
However I have marked (with a 1) a boundary that seems to have been replaced by 1838 with a slightly different arrangement (see red line directly above).
Red shows those boundaries unchanged from 1838.
Orange shows boundaries taken from the 1882 O.S. map. These are also the same as those on the auctioneer's map of 1914.
